Mozart ia a large, super friendly and gentle Siberian Husky.
He is 3.5 years old, neutered, healthy and loves people of all ages.
Mozart could use some training when around smaller dogs, he is large and in charge, but never aggressive.
He has a very high prey drive, cannot be around any small animals such as cats.
Mozart is a strong dog, and could do very well as a working dog. Great stamina.
He does very well with other dogs closer to his own size.
Mozart is now a family dog but due to his great need of exercise and great strength, he would do much better in a working environment and with an experienced working breed owner that can bring out the best in him. He is a great dog with a friendly happy personality. He needs a strong leader and thrives on physical activity. He is a beloved pet, it is a hard decision to give him up but it would be the best thing for him to expand his horizons.

Hello, I'm Meela. I am a beautiful Husky cross. I'm a fairly large girl, about 70lbs. I came from one of the pounds. I had a large what was thought to be an injury on my side but was actually a tumor. No worries though, it's gone for good.. Not sure on my age but best guess is a couple years. I am a very loyal girl, don't like to leave my foster moms side for too long. I am crate trained and great on a leash. I have been good with other dogs, not sure on the cats. Typical to my breed I love to talk, especially when I'm happy to see you.

UPDATE:
I've recovered from my hip surgery now, and am back running on all fours. I'm fitting in well with my foster sisters (dogs) and brothers (cats). My big problem is that I'm frightened of my foster-dad. In fact I run away from men in general. I wouldn't hurt them or anything, but I have something in my history that makes me nervous when they even enter the same room. My furever home is going to need patience to get me over this, but I`d love to find a permanent pack where my dad could work with me and tolerate my intolerance. I let my foster-dad walk me on leash, and I`m actually pretty well-mannered most of the time. I just don`t like it when he tries to feed me or cuddle, so I let foster-mom do those things. Oooh, maybe I didn't mention that I also get very nervous when my family leaves me alone. Silly thing is it's only in the evenings I get upset when my humans leave us critters. I start to get chewing on anything I can reach, like dog treats, computer mice, or valuable documents left on counters.
I've been told I'm like a puppy who is mature in years, but needs to be helped to grow up. I know I`m a special case, but I think I`m worth the patience it will require to get me over my fear of men, and give me some confidence in my furever family.

My name is Juno. I'm a five year-old Husky cross, and lucky to be
alive. I was limping off the roadway on Whitemud Drive when a nice
lady and her son stopped and coaxed me into their car. They took me
to the emergency clinic where it was determined that I had a
dislocated hip as well as some significant cuts and bruises. After
getting patched up at the emergency clinic I was sent to the Animal
Care and Control Centre in Edmonton. The lady who found me contacted
SCARS, and they bailed me out of the pound. I'm going right away to
get surgery to fix my hip. Dr. John says my hip will be perfect when
it's repaired, but it will be a while before I'm ready to be adopted.

I'm neutered, microchipped, and am very friendly with people, dogs and
cats. I'm a fairly big guy, but I can benefit from some groceries,
because I'm only about fifty-five pounds. I know I'll be a fantastic
friend for someone who can give me a comfortable home.
