This very handsome Siberian Husky is Jake. Jake is about 4 years old and just
came to us from the Corner Brook pound. This dog seems to be very friendly.

Candy
Candy is a 3 yr old female spayed and vaccinated Husky mix who was adopted from
here a few months ago. She was doing really well in that home until she raised
her litter of pups. Once all pups were gone Candy seemed to get depressed and
act a little differently, which caused her to be returned to us. She is in a
foster home right now, with a great volunteer, and is doing very well.
If you would like to meet with Candy... Please give the shelter a call at
466-3489 and arrangements will be made for you to meet this sweet dog.
Note from Candy's foster mom:
Candy has been a joy to have around and get to know. She listens to commands sit
and stay very well. She loves to go for walks, rain or shine, and car rides are
her favorite. She will even tell you when it is time to go potty, usually not
too long after she has eaten......!! She loves to play, have her tummy scratched
and would do well in a home where there is a fenced in yard for her to roam and
run. She has a curious nature, loves people although young children easily
excite her and therefore a home with older children (8+) might be a better
environment for her. She has a bed to sleep on, but always manages to end up on
the sofa after everyone has gone to bed........! She does not seem to like other
dogs , nor cats, but we are trying to work on that. She is a great dog and will
be your best friend if you let her.
