A FOSTER NEEDED
Siberian Husky: An adoptable dog in London, ON
Medium • Young • Male
MUST BE THE ONLY HOUSEHOLD PET Nanook is a beautiful Siberian Husky. He is quite young, maybe 2 years old. Nanook is very energetic, inquisitive, and friendly. He rode well in the car and took treats nicely. Nanook appears to be easy going and gentle, eagerly giving kisses. Nanook is very agile and active. He will need daily exercise and will love the outdoors, he is not a couch potato. Please research the Siber breed before applying to meet Nanook. It is obvious that Nanook was owned by a breeder, as his mating instincts are obsessive. Once the neuter has time to decrease the hormones in Nanook, he will settle. But for now, he must be in a home with no other animals. Nanook is heartworm tested, vaccinated, treated with Revolution, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee of $390 includes a health record.
Spayed/Neutered • Up-to-date with routine shots • House trained • Prefers a home without: cats, dogs

JULES

Alaskan Malamute: An adoptable dog in London, ON
Large • Young • Male

Jules is one of those dogs that melts your heart. He is a real gentleman. Loves his people, friendly with other dogs, ignores cats. He will however need an understanding adopter as he suffers from seperation anxiety. His foster has been working with Jules and has learned what works best for him. Though initially it was a painful process she says Jules is worth it. If you meet him you would have to agree. He is such a gentle boy. Ideally Jules would love a family where his alone times were short. He is crate trained, his housetraining is wonderful. He is lovely and calm. Jules has been nuetered, vaccinated, dewormed, treated with Revolution, tested for heartworm and microchipped. His adoption fee of $390.00 includes his health record. To meet Jules please fill out an Adoption Application on the left hand side of our website at www.allbreedcaninerescue.petfinder.com

URGENT!! QC, Wakefield (Canada) "Kuei" Blind Husky

Name: Kuei
Sex: Male (altered)
Breed: Siberian Husky
Age: 1 year approximately
Location: Quebec, CD

Vet/Medical Info: On 4/10/2011 Kuei was vaccinated for DHPP and bordetella at the Gatineau SPCA prior to being transferred to Sasha's Den. 5/4/2011 he was taken to their vet for a complete exam. He was HW tested (SNAP 4DX) and was negative and was given his rabies vaccine. Advantage Multi was applied. Eye exam: his right eye is bigger than left. Pressure taken in both eyes: 15 on the left, 18 on the right. That is slightly elevated, but he has no pain associated with it, his eye does not run, his pupil is not dilated and everything else seems normal. He has juvenile cataracts which is the cause of his blindness. Heart, lungs, normal. Bacterial folliculitis. He was put on Novo-Lexin for 2 weeks. Slight Ortolani sign on both hips. He was X-rayed under anesthesia on 5/5/2011 while being neutered and does not have any sign of arthritis and does not have hip dysplasia. This summer he had a urinalysis because he urinates a lot, results were normal including density. He is on HW preventatives and was also dewormed with Safeguard X 5 days.

Owner Info: Kuei is a beautiful blind husky with Qc Rescue, Sasha's Den. Unfortunately, the rescue is experiencing problems with him that make permanent homing a big challenge. Kuei is still not house trained, in spite of the angelic efforts that the foster family (the actual owners of Sasha's Den) have made so far. They have also put together a nice pen for him outside, in which they can't leave him, as he will howl and bark at the least noise. Although Sasha's Den has homed blind dogs in the past, the combination of all of these issues make the situation overwhelming and Kuei would benefit from being undertaken by a specialty rescue. They are not sure if the blindness and incontinence have been caused by seizures or maybe head trauma from his past life as a stray. They have to get up at 6am and take him out at once. He has to go out every 4-5 hours during the day. Placing a blind dog is difficult, placing an un-housetrained blind dog merely impossible, around there at least. Kuei's eyes are brown, clear and wide - it is not obvious he is blind. He has a very sweet disposition. He eats well, has normal stool. He gets along with female dogs, is a little macho with males. Too rough with small dogs, not to be trusted around cats. They can help with transportation, Kuei is located in the Rawdon area, Qc.

a darling young man, 32 lbs

Alaskan Malamute Mix: An adoptable dog in Lucknow, ON
Medium • Young • Male

this sweet boy arrived 11-15-11 - Bryce is under a year old and very small for his age at only 32lbs - he came from a large spay/neuter incentive in Quebec off a reserve - he is shy but darling and he is good with other dogs, cratetrained, and excellent in the vehicle. we will update as he settles in
He is vaccinated, dewormed and treated with revolution and neutered. he is being chipped on 11-18-11

His adoption fee is $350 If he is boostered and rewormed in our care in 4 weeks an additional fee will apply

The adoption fee does NOT cover the cost of vetting or supplies for these animals - if you cannot afford the adoption fee (that is a fraction of actual expenses incurred) then you should reconsider adopting. These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed. They do not deserve to be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes...

The adoption fee does NOT cover the cost of vetting or supplies for these animals - if you cannot afford the adoption fee (that is a fraction of actual expenses incurred) then you should reconsider adopting. These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed. They do not deserve to be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes wrong.
You must complete an adoption application in order for us to determine if the dog is a good match for you and you are a good match for the dog.
We do not show dogs to people that merely want to drop in and look at the dog or see multiple dogs - not only are the dogs fostered in various foster homes in various towns often hundreds of kilometers apart and not only do we simply do not have the manpower for that - more importantly it is unfair for the dog to be shown to various people and passed by - therefore we chose the most suitable application for the dog - then schedule a viewing.
If we do not carefully screen where dogs are adopted to then the cycle would only continue when the ill-suited dog ends up back in the pound.
As it stand pounds are begging us to find space for healthy and adoptable dogs (who will be euthanized due to a simple lack of space) - So we Thank You in advance for respecting our successful process.
If you would like to foster or adopt - please fill out a dog adoption form here: Dog Form

We welcome enquiries from applicants with well behaved canines. Please do not apply if your dog has any possession aggression, or resource guards food/toys/space/owners, has leash aggression or aggression towards other dogs. This is for the safety of our foster dog and to ensure they do not become fear defensive. We thank you for wanting to rescue a dog and simply ask that you address and correct your dog's issues before adding an adoptive dog in to the home. By allowing only well socialized and well trained pets to be considered as a possible forever home for our rescue dogs we are looking out for both our foster dog and your dog's own best interest. We also ask that if your cat is not used to having a dog around that you expose them to a family or friend's dog several times to see if they will accept a new family member within their home, before applying. IF YOU FEEL YOUR CURRENT PACK IS STABLE & READY FOR A NEW MEMBER WE WELCOME YOUR INTEREST
On intake a new dog is assessed in a foster home to determine which type of home suits them best.
As an adoptive home - you will have access to advice from our dog trainers.
Please note - We will not adopt out to homes with children that are not respectful of animals, nor to people that will give up a dog for any little reason due to their children's behaviour with the dog.
Dogs should not be expected to tolerate poorly behaved humans, of any age!
Rules, boundaries and limitations must be set in order for a dog to follow them. This also goes for children.
Please also consider that treating a dog with a heavy hand and old school training is of no value to any dog - treating a shy dog with bad training techniques can truly damage the dog.
We will give preference to any application that has the fortitude to take their newly adopted dog to training to bond and learn together from a professional who has the dog's best interest at heart.
HOW DO INTERESTED PARTIES GO ABOUT MEETING THIS DOG?
Our rescue prides itself on adopting out the proper dog to the proper family. If you would like to be considered for one of our dogs please complete a dog adoption application as outlined in this bio.
If you are a successful applicant you will be asked to come to a viewing at the dog's foster home with your entire family, as well as your existing dog.
This viewing will allow your family, the foster home and I to see if this is a suitable match.
We will all take 24 hours to mull it over and go from there. Adoptions are not rushed. Our priority is placing the dog in the proper family.
We always need foster homes for the constant influx of new dogs in need - if you are interested in fostering - please consider that the rescue vets the dog before they go in to foster care - they also provide a new collar and rescue i.d. tag on intake - as well as food - and any additional vetting needed thereafter the initial vetting.
If there are any dog lovers out there now is the time to step up - there are many on the short list to be killed in shelters all over due to simple lack of space - please consider helping now - dogs are killed every hour - they die by being jabbed thru the heart (heart-sticking) and being gassed to death more often than humane euthanization!
We are happy to consider your home to foster an appropriate pet for your lifestyle if you are a believer in positive reinforcement and keeping dog on lead until recall and boundary trained, unless in a completely secure off leash area - We welcome foster homes in the Guelph to London to Durham to Goderich area.
Please contact the rescue via email for more info if you are interested in fostering - again we do ask that you complete our application so we know your expectations and can match with you a dog that suits

Hi! My name is Keno. I am a 6 year old Shepherd/Husky cross. Aren’t I handsome??
I have lots of energy and love going for long walks and running with my dog buddies.
I am very smart. I know basic obedience training:I will sit, stay, come, and lie down, shake a paw and off. I am very willing to learn and love to please my human friends.
Since I get along well with other dogs and cats, I can just fit right in to a new home.
My perfect family is someone who has time just for me!!!
I love to be the centre of attention, so if you're an empty nester, why not consider adopting me?
I promise to be a loyal companion and your best friend.
I have been waiting a long time for my forever home. Please call and open your heart to me.
Please note that the animals in our program are available for adoption only to individuals located in the Durham Region area; however we are always happy to refer you to a rescue or shelter in your area. Thank you for your understanding.

Not only are Zeus' colours beautiful, but so is his personality. He is light brown and tan in color, light/brown in eye color. He loves being around people especially kids, he is crate trained, walks very well on a leash and loves the outdoors. He can also give paw, sit and take a treat from your hand very gently.
