We are moving and need to find a loving home for our family pets.
Chinook and Shade are a pair of wonderful husky cross dogs who will easily make their way into any pet owner’s heart. Chinook is a 4 year old husky shepherd cross and Shade is a 5 year old husky. These two are good friends and have been together for the past two and a half years. They are a package deal and will not be separated. Both of these girls are spayed. They are good with young kids and other dogs. They are also good with our cat. Chinook is white with light and dark brown on her back. We raised her from a pup and she is very loving and playful. She craves human attention and is very gentle. She walks well on a leash.
Shade black and white and is our special girl. She is a beautiful dog who unfortunately was badly neglected and beaten in her last home. She is very scared of strangers and needs someone who has the time and patients to let her get to know you. Her fear does not make her aggressive, it makes her cower and pace. She can walk on a leash but until a bond is created this may be hard as she is very strong. Once you create a bond with her, she is a sweetheart. She loves our kids and I completely trust her with them but I do not allow them to feed her as she doesn’t know her own strength and she gets excited when it’s meal time.
Both dogs are big and have energy. They would require a large run or yard to play in and regular attention. Since we bought Shade the dogs have been outside dogs, although Chinook was house trained and loved to lie at our feet and even sleep on the bed when allowed.
There is an adoption fee for these pets.

Chloe was brought in as a stray from outside of town. Although scared and timid when she first came here she has started to adjust. Chloe is a sweet dog that loves any form of attention. She will lean right up against you when she is getting petted and cuddled. Chloe has not been leash trained, but we are working on that and she is doing quite well. She doesn't seem to mind the cats at the shelter, but she seems to have an issue with the other dogs. We are working on this but her best placement will be in a home without other dogs. Chloe needs just the perfect home, with a family that can give her the love, attention, and the work that she so desperately needs. Come in and see this sweet girl. Marty has to go to a home where there are no cats, as he shows very much dislike to any of the cats that he sees here at the shelter.
