This page lists as many dog shelters as I can find in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. These are 2 Husky dominated areas, I have added links to the shelters for you to search, since there are several Huskies in these shelters at any time. I have noticed many of the dogs in this section have been at these shelters for YEARS. Siberian Husky: An adoptable dog in Yellowknife, NT
Large • Adult • Male

This dog is looking for a new home. His name is Maverick born on August 25, 2008. He is a pure bread Siberian Husky. He's 3 years old, with all his shots up to date. He was laser neutered at 5 weeks old in Grande Prairie. He was bought in High Prairie, Alberta. He's mostly an indoor dog . Fully house trained with listening commands. Browny is your typical sled dog that loves to run, run, run. Browny is a gentle brute who will make a wonderful addition to an energetic family.

DOB: Approx 1995!
Size: Large
Millie is the oldest dog in our system, she is currently in a foster home. Millie is in such good shape that she must have a portrait hidden in an attic somewhere. She would do well in a quiet home where she doesn't have to share with other dogs.

Belle is a big, gorgeous ex sled dog, who loves to run. Fully trained and housebroken, she's very gentle with people. Belle is currently in foster care.

Flora was brought into the shelter pregnant, and shortly after gave birth to her litter of puppies. She has been such a smart, sweet, patient mom wi th her litter of nine. She is totally housetrained, and knows basic commands, now she's finally ready to find her own home.
